I'm back! To everyone that wondered what happened to me, I got married :) A stressful wedding, a kickass honeymoon and a few weeks of adjusting later, here I am itching to  get back into the kitchen. To add to my excitement, its Christmas next month! That means cake, alcohol and a whole lot of food.

Now that my blog is well over a year (yes it is!) old, its time to kick up the Christmas cooking a notch. Starting Dec 1st, all recipes in the blog will be Christmas themed. And I'm not just cooking up cakes and desserts, but also mains and breakfast options, with a dash of cocktails here and there. I hope you are as excited as I am.

I think there is nothing more perfect to hail in the Christmas season than with the traditional soaking of fruits.

This year I'm feeling a little generous, so my cake ingredients are going to be a little more than just raisins. There are 3 kinds of rum, assorted dry fruits, a whole lot of love and some secret ingredient goodness.

One of the most frequently asked questions I get when I meet people is 'when do we get to taste?' This year Shrey and I are taking orders for Traditional Christmas Cake. If you are wondering what all these alcohol soaked ingredients taste like in a deliciously rich cake, email me at ashlenecardoza@gmail.com.

And now for an announcement:

My blog is now Kardolicious. No I did not just meet with Ekta Kapoor. No my numerologist did not convince me to add a 'K'. The blog has not just changed its name, its changed owners. I'm now Mrs. Kamerkar and my husband Shrey will be an active contributor to this blog too. Things I do for love I tell you!
